How to Get a Category A1 Driving Licence
Category A1 driving licenses permit individuals to drive an unrestricted motorcycle without a sidecar. The cylinder's capacity must not exceed 130 cubic centimeters. Its power must not exceed 11 kW.
The licence allows you to drive motor vehicles and trailer combinations with a maximum mass of 8,250kg. The types of vehicles you are allowed to drive will differ based on the date you passed your test.
Motorbikes
The first step to get a motorbike license is to pass the category A1 driving test. This license is valid for two years and permits you to operate motorcycles that have up to 11kW of power. A vehicle that has an authorized maximum weight that exceeds 500kg has to be driven on separate licences in category E. The trailer and the vehicle must be driven by a driver with a licence for that category, or for category D in the case of a bus. The driver must be at minimum 21 years old, and hold the category B licence for at least two years.
You must have a category-C licence to drive an automobile that has an unloaded trailer that weighs more than 750kg. This includes vans, trucks and other vehicles that are used to transport goods.
